Homecoming Schedule

  • Monday, October 3, 2016

The daily theme is "Merica Monday"
· All students dress in Red, White and Blue - or Stars and Stripes - dress is apparel that would be considered patriotic - no political statements or Presidential candidates - only past Presidents
· All dress must be appropriate for school
4:30 - 8:00PM - Sketching/Painting of Class Signs
· Tarp is put on gym floor
· Seniors will sketch and paint on the STAGE.
· Juniors, sophomores, and freshmen will sketch and paint on the GYM FLOOR.
· All paintbrushes must be washed in the art room, NOT BATHROOMS.
· At 8:00 P.M., all students must be done working, and the stage and gym must be cleaned.
· Signs can be left to dry until the morning.
· All signs must be securely hung before 7:15 A.M. on Tuesday morning.

  • Tuesday, October 4 

The daily theme is "Generation Day"
· Seniors and juniors dress as senior citizens
· Freshmen and Sophomores dress as toddlers and babies
· All dress must be appropriate for school
· Gym signs and decorations must be hung by 7:15 A.M.
· Door signs must be completed by 7:15 A.M.
· *Do not put duct tape on school walls!*
Homecoming Honey
· Participants are to be let out at 2:30 P.M.
· The competition will begin at 2:40 P.M. in the gym
· The entire school will attend.

  • Wednesday, October 5 - "All Dolled Up"

The daily theme is "All Dolled Up:"
· Students in grades P3-11th grade must wear their school Mass uniforms.
· Seniors may wear appropriate Mass clothes: NO strapless or one-shoulder tops/dresses; skirts and dresses must be the appropriate, handbook length; boys must wear dress pants and ties.
All school Mass:
· All school Mass will be held at 9:00 A.M. in the gym.
· There will be a Homecoming Court presentation at the beginning of Mass.

  • Thursday, October 6 - "Theme Day Thursday:"

The daily theme is "Theme Day Thursday:"
· High school students must dress APPROPRIATELY according to their class theme.
· Seniors - the 80s
· Juniors - the 70s
· Sophomores - 2000s
· Freshmen - the 50s
Court members
· Court members will practice at NSU for the Homecoming Court Presentation from 9:45-11:15 A.M.
· They will travel by bus.
· First grade participants will also attend.
Boys' Dance Competition:
· The high school boys' dance competition will begin immediately following the elementary pep rally & float parade.
· The entire school will attend.
Riverbank Parade
· At 4:30 P.M., the lineup will begin at the police juror parking lot.
· At 5:30 P.M., the parade will begin.
· The parade will travel down Fourth Street to Touline and will continue to the Riverbank for the pep rally.

  • Friday, October 7 - "Class T-shirt Day:"

The daily theme is "Class T-shirt Day:"
· High school students must wear their class T-shirts with appropriate jeans and school shoes.
· Seniors - Black, Hot Pink and Electric Blue
· Juniors - Dark Blue and Purple
· Sophomores - Grey and Red
· Freshmen - Yellow and Light Pink
P3-8th grade:
· Students may wear the school spirit shirt with appropriate jeans and school shoes.
Elementary Pep Rally & Float Parade:
· Elementary students will cheer for their senior football buddies and showcase their class floats in the gym beginning at 1:30 P.M.
· The entire school will attend.
Volleyball Tournament:
· There will be a high school volleyball tournament in the gym beginning at 1:30 P.M.
· The entire school will attend.
· Students, please sit in the top bleachers.
Football Game:
· The Homecoming football game against the Montgomery Tigers will begin at 7:00 P.M. at Turpin Stadium.
· The Homecoming Court must arrive by 6:00 P.M.
· The Homecoming Court presentation will begin at HALFTIME.

  • Saturday, October 8 - "Homecoming Dance"

The Homecoming Dance:
· Pictures will begin at 8:00 P.M., and the dance will last from 8:00-11:00 P.M.
· The father/daughter dance for court members will begin at 9:00 P.M. Court members and their parents should be at the dance by 8:45 P.M.
· Admission to the dance is $15 per couple and $10 per stag until Friday, October 7th.
· Admission is $20 per couple and $15 per stag at the door.
· Pictures will cost $30 and should be paid for at the dance.
· Checks can be made to Adrian Demery Photography.

Alumni and Friends Event 

  • Join St. Mary's Alumni and Friends at Turpin Stadium for the social prior to the Homecoming Game!!  You are in for a great time!!


Lunch Menu

  • Monday:  Beef and cheese nachos, Mexican corn, spinach salad and apple wedges - (Pancakes)
  • Tuesday:  Red beans and rice with sausage, steamed cabbage, spinach salad, cornbread and sliced peaches - (Sausage Biscuit)
  • Wednesday:  Ham and cheese sandwich, baby carrots with ranch, spinach salad, fresh fruit and chocolate chip cookie - (Cinnamon Rolls)
  • Thursday:  Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, spinach salad, rolls and mandarin oranges - (Cereal and Yogurt)
  • Friday:  Hot dogs, french fries, stack salad and fresh fruit - (Blueberry Muffins)  *menus could be subject to change*
